Length of Slinky: Observational Experiment
Aim
Observe how the speed of a pulse depends on the length of the Slinky.
Prior Knowledge
- Speed.
- Experimental uncertainty.
Description of the Experiment
Observe a pulse traveling on a Slinky which is taut with a spring scale. The repeat the observation when the tension is the same but the length of the Slinky is halved.
