Colliding gliders (different masses): Quantitative Observational Experiment
Aim
Develop physical quantities and a rule to explain what happens when two gliders collide on a frictionless airtrack
Prior Knowledge
- Understanding of speed and velocity
- Understanding of motion diagrams and graphing.
Description of the Experiment
Two gliders of different mass collide in various ways on a frictionless air track. Try and refine your model and invent new physical quantities (if necessary) to describe and explain what you see here.

Questions
Make a list of physical quantities or their combinations that are the same before and after the collision. How is this list different from the previous experiment?
